The Team Behind the Amsterdam Time Machine

The Amsterdam Time Machine is coordinated by the CREATE research program at the University of Amsterdam and powered by a consortium of researchers and institutions. The project is run by a dedicated team of researchers and programmers, who work closely together with societal partners and local communities.


Prof. dr. Julia Noordegraaf is CREATE’s project leader. She is professor of Digital Heritage at the University of Amsterdam and vicedean of Research and Impact at the Faculty of Humanities Board.

Leon van Wissen MA is programmer. He has studied Dutch and specialised in computational linguistics and literature. As part of the core team of CREATE, he supports the Amsterdam Time Machine project on a structural basis.
